Makhan Bada

Makhan Bada, also known as Balushahi in some regions, is a traditional North Indian dessert made from refined flour (maida) and deep-fried to a golden crisp. The dough is kneaded with ghee (clarified butter), yogurt, and a pinch of baking soda, which gives it a soft, flaky texture inside while keeping the exterior crunchy. The fried dough is then soaked in a sugar syrup flavored with cardamom, which adds sweetness and a mild aroma.
